Since opening on Chicago’s Northwest side in 1970, Russo Power Equipment has evolved from a neighborhood hardware store to the nation’s premier power equipment and landscape supply dealer, yet still has that neighborhood feel. We are family owned and operated and we take pride in being an independently owned, local business. From the start, we have been dedicated to providing our customers with the exceptional service that they have come to expect over the past 40 years. It's not easy, but hard work never grows old. Learn the faces of Russo by visiting our family tree.
Russo Power is dedicated to growth with our customers, vendors, industry, and employees. While most small businesses were forced to downsize in recent years, Russo Power has done the opposite. In spring of 2011, we opened a new store in Hainesville, Illinois and hired 30 new employees. Despite growing bigger, what won’t change are the ideals that got us here. We have been able to separate ourselves from other power equipment dealerships with our excellent service, vast selection of parts, and top-notch specialists in each department. Russo Power has four retail locations, a salt distributions site in Lemont, and an e-commerce website, RussoPower.com, to better serve customers. We are known in the industry for carrying the widest selection of manufactures including Bob-Cat, Echo, Honda, Kawasaki, Kubota, Stihl, Toro, and Wright to name a few.
While commercial sales are a big part of who we are, we are also very conscious of our ecological system. As a member of the Illinois Landscape Contractor Association, being “green” is part of our nature. We recycle as much plastic, metal, oil, paper, and cardboard as we can. In fact, in 2011 we recycled nearly 150,000 lbs of cardboard and over 9,500 lbs of plastic wrap. Russo Power strives to leave the smallest footprint possible on the environment, but a big one in the industry, which is why we carry battery powered products such as chainsaws, line trimmers, hedge trimmers, and blowers. Not only are these products lighter weight, but they are also powerful, quiet, and eliminate emissions.
Above all, customer satisfaction and business relationships make up our core. That is how we have been able to stay in business for over 40 years. We are a family owned business built on word of mouth. We strive for efficiency and consistency between all factions of our company whether you’re local buying an RTV in store or purchasing a small part online from out of town.
Thank you for reading our story and helping Russo Power remain one of the best power equipment dealers in the nation. We would be nothing without our customers and appreciate your business. Let Russo be your power equipment home. Drop by anytime either in-store or online!
