Designing with Colored Concrete - 1 CE for LAs

This presentation will describe the common methods of coloring new and existing concrete, which will allow a designer to select the correct system relative to aesthetics and function. The factors affecting color quality and proper installation techniques will also be discussed. Actual project photos will be utilized to illustrate concepts and practice. Upon completion of the program a landscape professional or designer will be able to convey to a client the basic design and material options available for decorative concrete applications.
Native Grasses in the Landscape – 1 CE for LAs

This interactive seminar will demonstrate how traditional landscapers can make the most of native grasses. Topics will include: the advantages of native grasses in landscapes, a great seed mix makes all the difference, expectations and timing for native grasses, importance of a plan and specification, how to install native grass seed for maximum effect, native grass plugs and sod options will also be covered.
