Early Spring

A granular fertilizer application to promote a spring green-up and recovery from winter damage. A fertilizer with a pre-emergent herbicide is recommended to prevent summer annual weeds like Crabgrass.


Late Spring / Early Summer

A granular fertilizer application containing time-released nitrogen improves the lawn’s color and density. A blanket application of a liquid or granular herbicide is also recommended in helping control broadleaf weeds such as dandelions.



OPTION 1 - A slow-release granular fertilizer is recommended. This is important during the heat and stress of the summer to help maintain the lawns color and vigor. Also, a spot treatment of any broadleaf weeds.


OPTION 2 - A slow-release granular fertilizer containing a preventative systemic insecticide. Timing of this application is essential. Apply between June 15th through August 1st to achieve the best results.


Late Summer / Early Fall

A granular fertilizer application containing time-released nitrogen to promote root growth and repair summer stress. A second blanket application of a liquid or granular herbicide is recommended to control broadleaf weeds such as dandelions.


Late Fall

The last and most important application. A granular fertilizer application of a high nitrogen content with a low slow release content. This application will provide winter hardiness, & durability important to winter survival and an early spring green-up.
