ARBOR GEAR

Climb Around, Safe & Sound

 At Russo, knowledge is power.

That's why we employ certified experts, invest in safety, and research state-of-the-art products.

When you're up in the trees, climbing around, you'll know you're safe and sound because we're Chicagoland's leading supplier of arbor gear, tree care equipment, and safety supplies.

Hi, I'm Dan!

As a multi-faceted Arborist, I have been working, practicing, and teaching my skills and knowledge to the local Green Industry since 2003. I became a certified Arborist in 2007 and acquired my TCIA CTSP Certification in 2017. While in the field, I have worked for Chicagoland staple Tree Services and Plant Health Care companies.

Here at Russo Power Equipment, I combine my years of experience and extensive industry knowledge to provide you, our valued customers, assistance with the best product selection, safety & equipment training, and networking opportunities.

I also work hard to give back to the Chicagoland Green Industry by donating time to organizations such as the Illinois Arborist Association (IAA), volunteering across the state as an instructor or event Judge, and through Russo as an event sponsor. I served on the IAA Board of Directors as Industrial Director from 2019 to 2021, and now in 2022, I'm excited to bring my ever-growing skill set and experience to the role of Vice President of the IAA.

Safe for You

With your head in the clouds and your feet off the ground, your safety is our number one priority.

That's why we offer training demos at our Elgin location. Russo brings in certified experts to teach you the ins and outs of rope maintenance.

All locations have dedicated arbor sections full of cutting edge products to check out.

Safe for Trees

We don't just hug trees, we love them. That's why we stock products and teach techniques built with tree care in mind.

Did you know...? Each puncture from a climbing spike produces a certain amount of tree tissue death. Usually, these wounds will heal, but over time, multiple spike holes can cause an entire area to die with no chance of recovery.

Keep trees safe by only using climbing spikes during tree removal, not pruning.
