Metal Forms & Sterling Dealer Spotlight on Russo

Since opening on Chicago’s Northwest side in 1970, Russo Power Equipment has evolved from a neighborhood hardware store into one of the nation’s premier power equipment and landscape supply dealers. Russo is family owned and takes great pride in their 40 years of growth built on excellent customer service, a vast selection of parts, and top-notch specialists in each department.

While most small businesses have contracted in recent years, Russo has expanded and is planning to open another location in Frankfort, Illinois by the end of 2014. With that, Russo Power now has five locations, a salt distribution site, and an e-commerce website (RussoPower.com). The dealership is highly regarded in the industry for representing a wide selection of top brands including Bob-Cat, Echo, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, Kubota, Stihl and Toro.

Russo started selling Sterling in the early 1990’s after receiving many customer requests for a long lasting wheelbarrow. Frank Russo, the company’s owner, states “We chose Sterling over other wheelbarrow brands because not only was it a quality product, but the company was very much in tune with our own business. They worked with us to grow our brand parallel to theirs and they included incentive support for volume consistent dealers.”

Backed by strong support from the Russo sales staff, more customers realized the value and strength of Sterling wheelbarrows. Then “word of mouth” took over and led to the Sterling brand being requested by name. According to Jackie Coakley, Marketing Supervisor, “Over the years, Russo expanded it’s Sterling advertising efforts through the use of their seasonal catalogs, which helped develop and grow Sterling's brand awareness and contributed to an increase of wheelbarrow sales”

Metal Forms is proud to partner with Russo Power where customer satisfaction and lasting business relationships make up their core. Congratulations to Russo on their phenomenal growth and best wishes for continued success.
